the Dignity and Care They Deserve

From urgent rescue and advanced medical treatment to daily nourishment, rehabilitation and lifelong sanctuary care, we stand beside vulnerable animals through every stage of their journey.

Two Personal Losses. One Shared Purpose.

The Genesis of Paws Universe

Kaizer’s Legacy

Kaizer Sr.’s untimely passing changed Dharmendra’s life. He had seen how quickly an animal’s condition could worsen when diagnosis and advanced treatment were not available in time. That loss stayed with him and led him to create the kind of veterinary support he had once searched for himself.

Simba’s Legacy

When Rachna lost Simba, caring for community dogs became a deeply personal commitment. She began by feeding dogs in her neighbourhood and continued taking responsibility for animals who were injured, ageing or had nowhere safe to go. Over time, this commitment took shape as Simbaz Sanctuary.

One Shared Purpose

When Dharmendra and Rachna’s paths came together, their two deeply personal experiences became one shared purpose. Paws Universe Foundation was established to provide vulnerable animals with rescue, medical treatment, rehabilitation and lifelong care, while encouraging a more compassionate coexistence between animals and people.

Compassion in Practice

How We Support Community Animals

Rescue & Rehabilitation

Every call begins with understanding the animal’s condition and the risks around it. Our team responds to injuries, accidents, abuse and other urgent situations, bringing community animals to safety and arranging the care each case requires.

Advanced Veterinary Care

Paws Universe Hospital provides diagnostic support, medical treatment, surgery and closely monitored recovery for animals whose conditions require professional intervention.

Lifelong Sanctuary Care

Simbaz Sanctuary provides a secure lifelong home for community dogs who cannot safely return to their former environment because of age, disability, trauma or continuing care needs.

Daily Feeding

More than two hundred community dogs receive nutritious food and clean drinking water each day through carefully managed feeding routes.

Vaccination Programmes

Regular vaccination programmes help protect community dogs from preventable disease while contributing to healthier and safer neighbourhoods.

Water and Shade

Accessible drinking-water points and naturally shaded spaces help community animals endure Gujarat’s most demanding weather conditions.

A Year of Compassion in Action

Every figure represents sustained responsibility: a rescue answered, treatment provided, a meal served or a safe place maintained. During the reporting year, the Foundation recorded 683+ rescue cases and 494+ surgeries and treatments, while feeding more than 200 community dogs each day and caring for 180+ animals across the sanctuary, hospital and foster network.

Who We Are

Compassion Made Practical

Paws Universe Foundation brings rescue, veterinary treatment, rehabilitation, daily nourishment and lifelong sanctuary care into one connected response. Each animal’s circumstances are different, so every decision begins with what that life genuinely needs: immediate safety, professional medical attention, time to recover or a permanent place of care.

Volunteer With Us

Compassion Needs Participation

Meaningful animal welfare depends on people who are willing to give their time with patience and responsibility. Volunteers may assist with feeding, rescue coordination, sanctuary activities, documentation or community awareness. Every role requires care, discipline and respect for the animals, the team and the communities we serve.

Animals requiring medical attention receive a professional assessment followed by treatment appropriate to their condition, which may include medication, diagnostic procedures, surgery and monitored recovery.
Daily Feeding
Nutritious food and clean water support health, recovery and everyday survival. The feeding programme currently reaches more than two hundred community dogs each day.
